Casa Urrutia and El Granero is a traditional Spanish cortijo: a house and its outbuildings surrounding a shady and flower filled courtyard. The barn has been converted into a comfortable and stylish apartment, decorated in rustic Spanish style. Near the A-92 highway, and only 40 minutes from Granada Airport and 75 minutes from Malaga Airport. Its ideal situation in the geographical centre of Andalucia is unrivalled. From our administrative town of Loja you can travel to the capitals of Córdoba, Sevilla and Málaga in about two hours. The city of Granada with the beautiful Alhambra Palace and the Generalife garden is under an hour away, and the towns on the Costa del Sol and Costa Tropical can be reached in under and hour and a half. Explore the traditional local villages, travel into the Sierra Nevada mountains with their white washed villages nestling in the deep valleys, take a trip down to the Mediterranean Sea or simply laze around our stunning pool and enjoy the tranquility that Casa Urrutia offers you. El Granero is entered through a private courtyard which, with the old gates closed, makes a safe environment for your young children if you are in the appartment. The rooms are tiled with terracotta floor tiles and along with the shuttered windows provides a cool place to sit when you have had enough sun. The lounge, dining area and kitchen are open plan and offer everything you need for your stay. The sofa and two armchairs are comfortable. There is air conditioning in this main room. The main double bedroom has a ceiling fan and a safe. It looks out onto the courtyard. The twin room has two single beds and a ceiling fan. It looks out onto the olive groves. In the wardrobe you can find and iron and ironing board. We provide all linen (as well as beach towels) The shower room has towels, hand soap and a hairdryer. In the courtyard in the store house is a washing machine (we supply powder for your use) and recycling bins.
