Los Albergues is a unique place, perfect for hikers, travellers and families. It is located 5 minutes from the little town Pitres, and has good opportunities for mountain hikes.
The house had been abandoned and was a ruin when we found it in 1986. With the help of friends and local people we made it habitable again and in 1988 opened Los Albergues as a backpackers hostel.
There is a special spirit of mutual aid at Los Albergues and many visitors contribute by sharing their skills and creativity in helping to maintain this magical place.
Los Albergues is an open cultural place, with a self-catering kitchen, outdoor toilet, one private room and a common dormitory.
