This exclusive development is perched on the more famous promontory of Punta de la Mona. To the west of the Punta is the village of La Herradura (see above) and to the east is the "Marina del Este". These last two places offer beaches, restaurants and bars. There are 3 golf courses within half an hour's drive and it is possible to ski in Sierra Nevada (1h30 drive) from December to April. A snorkeling school is located in the village.

The village does however have a few supermarkets, banks, a newsagent, a medical centre, a pharmacy, a hairdresser and a market offering fresh produce every morning.
