In the little romantic streets of old Granada (the albayzin), directly in front of the Alhambra is my wine cellar and private patio originally built in the 1500's. All recent renovations and furniture was done by hand by me. I hope it makes people happy.
I like to find old special places, restore them and bring them back to life. This is one of those places. I make everything myself by hand. When I am making a place I like to think about the people who will be staying and how they will feel in it. I imagine them falling in love, completing a travel dream, creating a memory that will stay with them forever.
When I first walked into this wine cellar I knew It was one of those special places. All I had to do was listen to the walls. I wanted to leave the entry way uncluttered so that the long tunnel like archway to enter could be appreciated. When walking thru it if you look to your right you will see under glass an old cistern that was used to store water hundreds of years ago. Once past the archway you will have a large open space to live, small kitchen, indoor seating area and outdoor private patio. There was a very cool small cave like space I converted into a shower. At night if you sit outside in the patio you can hear flamenco music from the close by old "Gypsy" neighborhood.
