Welcome to our beautiful mountain eco farm. Just right for people with a sense of adventure and who love to be in nature. It is set on terraced land with many fruit trees and is an idyllic place to relax and enjoy the surrounding beauty. It is also a great base to discover this stunning part of Spain known as La Alpujarra.
The facilities are simple but charming. The house has 3 bedrooms set around a small courtyard, a double, a single and a twin or bunk bed room. There is one bathroom with a basin, a bath with a shower and the compost loo is down a short path and has stunning views.
The kitchen and dining room is equipped for self catering and the adjoining cosy sitting room has a wood burning stove for cooler evenings.
The land is terraced and wooded with many fruit trees. There is fruit in season most of the year including oranges, figs, grapes and pomegranates. Guests are welcome to help themselves! There is a chlorine-free swimming pool filled weekly with fresh mountain water which is set in a beautiful garden with wonderful views. We can offer for sale our own organic vegetables, fresh eggs and virgin olive oil.
The local market town of Orgiva is just a 20 minute stroll, with a variety of bars and restaurants to enjoy. This is where to catch the buses to get around the region for those without a car.
This area is noted for its wild beauty and is ideal for those people who love mountain walking, bird watching, horse riding and love being in the heart of nature.
There are stunning views from the white villages of Capileira, Pampaneira and Trevelis, and on a clear day, it is possible to see as far as Morocco!
If you want to go further afield; it is 1 hours drive to the fabled city of Granada famous for the Alhambra Palace and 40 minutes by car to the beaches of the Costa Tropical.
Other things to note
Whilst the parking is on our land it is reached by an unpaved track and there is a steep hill to climb from the car park to the house. Please bring easily carried luggage, strong walking shoes or sandals and a torch!
Whilst an electric heater is provided in the bedroom during the winter months, a small charge is made for logs for the wood burning stove.
