Chalet l'Ourson is a new (2021) architect-designed house located in a small neighborhood just outside the village of Aneran. This modern chalet is fully equipped. After a sporty day, you can relax on the lounge sofa on the spacious wooden terrace or on the veranda with a beautiful view of the most beautiful peaks of the Pyrenees. The huge windows give a beautiful view of the spectacular nature around. It is as if they are living paintings, where a large bird of prey occasionally flies by. For the chilly evenings, a wood-burning stove is available in the living room. You can prepare your own meals in the spacious kitchen or on the BBQ; there are also several authentic restaurants in the area.
Inside:
Spacious living room including a cozy sitting area wood burner, flat screen TV, sliding door of almost 3 m that can be opened completely to the veranda. Kitchen with kitchen island, bar, large wooden dining table and sliding doors to the veranda. There is also a beautiful bedroom on the ground floor with a large double bed 180x200 with its own bathroom. This bathroom has a rain shower, double sinks and an outside door to the veranda. Finally, there is a toilet and a utility room (buanderie) with washing machine, dryer and storage for shoes, skis, etc. These are located at the entrance of the chalet.
1st floor
On the first floor are three spacious bedrooms, one with a French balcony and two bedrooms that open onto a cozy loggia. Two bedrooms have a double bed of 160 x 200 and the third bedroom has two beds of 90 x 200. A cot is available. The bathroom has a rain shower, a bathtub and double sinks. There is a separate toilet on the floor.
Outside:
Outside there is a large wooden terrace with a lounge sofa, a veranda with dining table and a large Weber BBQ. There is ample parking for several cars and a covered carport with plug for electric cars.
Surroundings:
Chalet l'Ourson is located in the middle of the French Pyrenees, in Val de Louron, at an altitude of 1000 m. Due to its southern location, the weather is often nice here. In this beautiful valley with views of mountain peaks above 3000m, you can enjoy hiking and cycling in the summer. The chalet is located on one of the famous cols of the Tour de France, the Col de Peyresourde. Other famous cols such as the Col d'Aspin, Col d'Azet and the Tourmalet are also within cycling distance. Numerous walks have been set out in the valley and the surrounding mountains, ranging from easy and flat to challenging mountain hikes lasting several days. You can then enjoy the beautiful untouched nature with its flora and fauna. Large birds of prey such as the Egyptian vulture and the red kite fly in this valley. Even wild bears live in the high mountains (a bear cub is a l'ourson).
At 3.3 km from the chalet you will find the mountain village of Loudenveille, located on an idyllic lake, where numerous sports and leisure activities can be practiced. Here you can relax in the wonderful indoor and outdoor pools and saunas of the Balnea. Furthermore, an outdoor swimming pool with slides, a climbing and play park, paintball, paragliding, bicycle rental (also electric), bicycle and skate park, down hill mountain biking, etc. Golf enthusiasts will find a 9-hole course in Bagnères deLuchon (30 min) and an 18-hole course in Lannemezan (40 min). In summer and winter you can take the new cable car, the Skyval, from Loudenveille to the ski resort of Peyragudes. In summer for hiking and mountain biking, in winter for skiing in one of the most modern areas of the French Pyrenees. The ski areas of Val de Louron (18 min), Saint Lary (25 min), Piau (53 min) and Luchon (30 min) are also in the immediate vicinity.
