The house is three kilometres from the cosy centre of the village of Cómpeta with several restaurants, bars, a weekly market on Saturdays and some small supermarkets and other shops. Cómpeta is one of Andalusia's most beautiful white villages. The picturesque village is shaped by Moorish influences with narrow, winding streets, white-painted houses and a beautiful village church. The village lies at the foot of the beautiful mountain ranges of Tejada and Almijara on the Ruta del Sol y Vino (Sun and Wine Route). The sweet Málaga wine comes from this region. Large supermarkets can be found in Torrox Costa, 16 km away. Torrox Costa is also the nearest seaside resort with a nice beach, restaurants and beach bars. Follow the road connecting Cómpeta and Torrox Costa downhill. A little further away, you will find the authentic, cosy seaside resorts of Nerja and Herredura with beautiful beaches on beautiful bays. This part of the Costa del Sol differs from the densely populated part of the Costa del Sol south of Málaga, which is mainly characterised by mass tourism. North of Málaga (where Cómpeta is located), authentic white villages and seaside resorts have remained intact. On the beaches you will also find fishermen fishing in the traditional way in their clean knots and colourful boats. And if you like diving, you can indulge yourself here. There are several diving schools, including in Nerja (Burriana Beach) and Herredura. Further inland, so close to the holiday home, you can do fantastic horse riding, cycling/mountain biking, hiking and (mountain) walking. You can also take a day trip by jeep through the beautiful mountain area. Golf lovers will enjoy the nearest golf course, Baviera Golf. With 18 beautiful holes, this course is located in Caleta de Valez (25 minutes by car). After the 18 holes, you can relax in a good restaurant that is part of the club.
La Estrella de Cómpeta is a detached house suitable for six people. The house roughly consists of two parts, the finca and the flat. The finca has two bedrooms, each with a private bathroom with bath, toilet and hairdryer, a tastefully decorated living room with a fireplace, an adjacent dining room with a second fireplace and a fully equipped new kitchen. The living room has a TV with more than 100 channels, including all Dutch and an audio system. The flat is located underneath the finca, so to speak. This space consists of a cosy bedroom, bathroom with shower, toilet and hairdryer and a separate sitting area. The flat has direct access to the swimming pool. All bedrooms have lovely box-spring beds. The two bedrooms in the finca are equipped with twin beds (2 x 90 cmx 200 cm). In the apartment there are two separate box-spring beds (90 cmx 200 cm) that can also be put next to each other. All bedrooms have air conditioning.Included in the rent of the house are bed linen and towels, gas, electricity, water, firewood and internet connection (wifi).No pets are allowed in the house.It is forbidden to smoke in the house.A car is necessary.Check-in time: between 3 pm and 10 pm. With 3000 m² of private land and a large swimming pool, the house is the ultimate place for those who value privacy, nature and relaxation. From the various terraces around the house and pool, you have breathtaking views of beautiful hills and mountains. The house is surrounded by beautiful oleanders, bougainvillea, olive trees, almond trees and cypress trees.
We would like to inform you that we were recently (May 2021) confronted with the following: recently, for security reasons regarding Covid 19, Spain has tightened the guidelines regarding the registration of tourists upon arrival at accommodation (hotel, holiday home, camping etc) in Spain. Previously, guests could provide personal details (passport no, etc) to landlord house/management of hotel in advance and the landlord/hotel could digitally transmit them to the local police. Recently, however, tourists have been required to sign this submission of personal details themselves. Specifically, this means that we are now obliged to ask all travellers staying in our house before arrival to provide us with your signed personal details (digitally). If this is not done, we are liable to penalties and risk a large fine and closure of our house for rentals. It sounds very annoying, but the bottom line is that if you have not provided us with these details on time and signed, we will not be allowed to rent out our house to you. I have now translated the official Spanish form into Dutch. I will include this in the arrival information. I look forward to receiving this form, completed and signed by both of you.
