Summary: We wanted to escape from the heat in Córdoba for a totally relaxing time that wasn’t too far and we could take our dog. This seemed the perfect place less than a two hour drive. Unfortunately we had to have our dog put to sleep shortly before our holiday. Overall we enjoyed our stay totally tranquil and relaxing. Daily visits from the dog helped to mend my broken heart. My favourite things were cooling off in the jacuzzi and stargazing of an evening with a glass of wine. The casita has everything that you need and local village is pretty and friendly providing all things you’ve forgotten. On a negative point it is more remote than we realised and despite living in Spain and my partner is Spanish, difficult to find despite 2 phones in 2 languages. The property itself could be better signposted travelling at night we would have missed it. On arrival we were earlier than specified check in and didn’t know how to contact hosts we had to telephone to say we had arrived, This was the same when leaving we didn’t know how to leave the key, I thought it impolite to just lock up and leave so again telephoned the house to inform them of our departure, I spoke to host on the phone but no one came to officially see us off. I thought that this was unprofessional and rude. A welcome pack on arrival would have been nice items in the house appeared to have been left behind from previous guests. We came well equipped from Spain but if you had just got off a flight you would not have had time to shop, Finally the house itself could have been cleaner, Bedding, towels the bathroom was clean, yet the overall attention to detail was lacking. The casita was really dusty, bookshelf in bedroom, window sills with cobwebs, I had to sweep up on arrival and it had a feel of not being used recently
