Experience a uniqe and unforgettable holiday in the charming town of alhama de Granada. Our holiday home is bursting with character. Centrally situated in the old quarter of the town close to restaurants, bars, shops and banks. Although close to everything the house remains peacefully quiet at all times of the day. and night. The house maintains much of its Moorish charm. Situated opposite a beautiful square with a fountain and church tower, the house is in the most iydillic of settlings.
Casa de los Zapateros translated means Shoemakers house. This is because the street it is situated on is Calle Zaperteros, Shoemakers street. A lot of the houses in the old town are named after tradesmen who were here and and lived above their shop.
The house is on 3 floors with an added sun terrace with amazing views over the town and rolling hills of the countryside. There is also covered outside patio area on the ground floor. This area stays lovely and cool in the hot days of summer, a nice cool place to sit and read.
The house has a moorish feel throughout as the original building dates back to times when the Moors ruled in Alhama. The ground floor is a fully tiled entrance hall which leads to a shower room and toilet. Further along the hallway is the back door which leads outside to a fully private outdoor seating/entertainment area.
Up to the first floor is the lounge and a fully fitted kitchen with a balcony to sit and enjoy morning coffee. Also on this floor is a double bedroom with a small balcony where you can sit with a wonderful view of the lovely square and the church with its impressive bell tower.
On the second floor there are two further double bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and shower.
Continue up to the third floor where you will find a large roof terrace. Because of the house prominent position gives spectacular views over the town and rolling hills. The roof terrace has lighting so you can sit outside until the early hours enjoying the beautiful views and relaxing.
The entire house is provided for your holiday so that you can enjoy your stay in complete privacy. Entrance to the house is through the front door and the key will be put in the lock box on the day of arrival
