Charming 15th Century property situated in market town of Quillan, nestled in the foothills of the Pyrennees. Positioned next to the old château, our home overlooks the Aude River, the old town square and the beautiful mountain landscape. It has three fantastic outdoor areas all with great views and ideal for dining and soaking up the sun. Enjoy the sunshine, sun-downers and spectacular views from both the roof terrace and the sun deck. Sit in the courtyard under the vines and the old chateau enjoying the local wine and watch the world go by.

Fully equipped bijou kitchen area with dishwasher, oven, hob, and fridge.
The main living area is spacious yet cosy with a wood burner, two sofas and a dining table with six chairs. If required, the table can be extended and there are two wooden garden chairs which may be used for additional seating.

Just a 5 minute drive away is a recently opened (July 2017) swimming/boating/fishing lake.
There's plenty to do nearby with rafting, kayaking and fishing popular activities down the river Aude and masses of spectacular and interesting walks i.e. The Sentier Cathare or Cathar Way which is over 250kms of breath-taking countryside.
Both rugby and cycling are passions in these parts and the Tour de France occasionally goes through Quillan in July.
There is a public swimming pool and tennis club in town and short scenic drives to swimming lakes at Puivert, Arques & Belcaire. Lac de Montbel is a beautiful 35 minute drive and is great for a day out where windsurfing, sailing, bike and boat hire are all available or just chill on the beach. There is a restaurant/cafe/shop on site.
Easy walking distance to many bars and restaurants.
Small grocery store, Boulangerie, Boucherie and Poissonnier within short walk and huge Carrefour Supermarket just a 5 minute drive away.
